had a fun request from @vernywinters about the reverse grasshopper arm balance :) this is the way I’ve found easiest to get into it so here’s a little #proyogression for you guys!
Start in half lotus, standing (or I suppose this could also be the second variation of Vrksasana, call it what you want) I’m facing forward to show the legs but you’ll want to turn sideways and then begin to revolve towards your bent knee just like a revolved chair. Slowly lower your palms, keep lots of engagement in the lotus foot, think foint, to keep it tucked in. Bent knee finds its way onto the back of your opposite tricep as you begin to lean forward, just like you would lifting up to crow or eka pada galavasana. Keep lifting the chest, gaze is out long without craning the neck, broaden the shoulders and lift that lower core (especially those “OMG I have to pee muscles”). when you feel steady then eventually extend the free leg, reaching all the way through the balls of the foot.
Have fun, and let me know how it goes!
